Default Patriot valve seals too small?

Ok so i can't get the valve seals over the guides. I tried lubing them up and using a socket and hammer to get them to go on. Part number is 8401 - bsbc here is the link https://www.patriot-performance.com/...9&bestseller=Y
It doesn't say anything about cutting the guides. I suspect that is the problem but i'm sure somebody on here has used these before and can fill me in.

Thanks

Sounds like you got .500" LS1 seals by mistake or an LS1 kit.
I once got a kit with the OD of the springs too big and the inner spring would actually pull the seal right off of the guide.

Call Patriot and talk to Gunner.

Have you measured the ID of the seals to see if you can pinpoint what guide they are for?

The kit i ordered and the kit i recieved have the same part number. And it was made for an lt1. I guess they must have put the wrong seals in. Called and they said they were at an show til monday. So you didn't have to cut your guides?

If you had the right seals from Patriot, they will fit fine.

The last time I had my heads off, I had the guides machined down to .500" so I could runner smaller seals and every spring combo under the sun. I did not like the inner spring being so close to the correctly size seal, that they provide in the LT1 kits.
