Do ya know if 1993 camaros can be tuned w/ Tuner Cat just by pluging it in?

i believe 93's have to have a chip "burned" and that only 94+ can have the PCM programmed via one of those tuner programs.

ya thats what i'm thinking too but I got a local tuner around here says he wants to test to see if his program tuner cat will read my pcm.

The 93's were the last year of the camaros to use a removable chip. I use the Moates autoprom and can tune the car in realtime using TunerPro RT or Tunercats RT. If using TunerPro RT, I can tune and datalog at the same time using the autoprom. You can also get chip burners for a decent price from moates. Blank chips are cheap and Tunerpro is free, though you can give a donation if you would like.
