Default Engines

I'm doing LT1 swap in a 94 camaro and i have found a 95 firebird formula donor car complete for a good price. Im wanting to know what kind of issues i may run into because its a firebird, minus the cluster? are all f-bodys pretty much interchangable as far as the drivetrain and PCM are concerned. Any help would be great!

The Engine's are pretty much identical..the OPTI, Cam and Timing Cover will be differnet on the 1995..that is the better version.

So what you are doing is taking a 94 Camaro and making it a V8 with the 95 Bird?

Yeah, its my buddy's 94 v6 that was his 1st car, wants to do the LT1 swap and he lives in Angleton,TX so it has to pass emission(no fun). What would be your recomendations for mods, its a dd but he wants some power too, looking for 350+ rwhp. Also do you know of any issue with OBD1-OBD2 cause i know 95 was kinda the year where some cars were already OBD2?

It had OBDII wiring installed, but still ran off of OBDI..nothing that's a big deal when swapping.

Yeah im thinking 4.10s for gears since its an m6, and apparently the opti is bad on the motor, what are the advantages/disagvantages of and msd version, dont know much about the opti's, my history is more on carb stuff for toys! For the hp range im looking at is it better to stay with the factory stuff? Also donor car has headers(dont know much about brand/LT or not), K&N CAI, and supposed to have the LT4 hot cam, but i may want to go with a different cam, i dont know, possible head/intake porting if he's up to it!
