Well my buddy is selling me a 9 inch rear end for 100 bucks just needs gears and a new posi... as for the tranny the guy that rebuilt my 4l60e said he would rebuild it when the time comes with a stage 2 vette heavy duty kit for rather cheap and he said he would eat the cost of a stall when I started putting more power into the car so I will be going with the yank ss3600...

ill be going with 1 7/8 kook headers and im doing true duals dumped before the axle... Yeh man I should be set, im alright at putting the block together its the timing is gonna be the hardest thing to do, not sure what kind of timing to go with

More knowledgeable people will jump in as far as help for timing.

And for your stall with the use of nitrous, I would recommend bumping it up to an SS4000. Thats eventually what I am going to do. Should have done it the first time around

damn does it make that much of a difference? for a 4000 stall... im kind of an idiot because I dont know really how the stall works I mean i know the concept but ive never driving a car with a stall... do you just the gas and the stall does the work on its own?

ide stick with the 3600 stall for nitrous in my opinion. if the 4k stall is looser than my 3600 then i think it would kill your shift extensions haha

i would think that mid to high 11s would be pretty easy with enough traction and a good tune. then that 150 shot should get in the 10s somewhere, im not exactly sure how much the nitrous will help you since i havnt had any real experiance with it. sounds like an excellent setup though!

Thanks bro and same goes for you... that 383 will be bitchin... I was going the 383 route but elected to save money on the crank and for the power my stock one would be good enough for the load.... the stock cranks are somewhat stronger than after market cast cranks lol

yea, you made an excellent choice on keeping the stock crank. clayton racing engines has a forged 383 kit that puts my compresison right where i wanted it so i just couldnt pass it up.

I like the direction your build is going! Very similar to my plans for the SS. I wont be doing the bore and am going with a D60 but Im excited to see what kinda power u put down with that setup. Ill be waiting

I hope to get my trans and rearend done this summer and pull the motor and do the rest next winter.
