Every Dipstick I have used I've had them Brass Brazed where the Bracket is tack-welded onto it..that little Tack Weld doesn't hold up for **** if you are trying to bend it to get it to work.

I had to bend mine a little with my old LT1, and on this LS Engine I had to do the same, the Brazing helps.

Just something to keep in mind.
