Default Speed Glass.. Need opinions

Is buying lexan/speed glass worth it? How much weight savings are we talking about? I know of a place I can get a pretty good deal on them, but it's still a rather large chunk of money out of my pocket, which could go towards other things. Now, I know they make the molded pieces for the hatch and windshield, but do they also make a molded piece for the door windows? As in, not a riveted-type design? Something that would go on the window track and be able to go up and down? Any input would be great. Car is going on a strict diet and I'm trying to do what I can. Thanks in advance!

that's a negative on the side windows, they'd get scratched up in no time. i think for the price it's a decent chunk of weight in the rear. Not street legal up front, and I probably will never get the front done as long as mine's a street car. I think its about a 27 pound weight loss in the rear.

Well I was looking into Percey's speed glass and I can't quite justify approximately $700+/- for just front and back windows. Maybe I'm just being narrow-minded, or cheap I'll weigh my options and go from there.. As for front windows not being street-legal, that's fine. If I decide to go all out on the car, it will be predominantly a track car anyway.

I was thinking about just doing my rear window. 27#'s would be a nice savings there I think.

Is that a 27# savings for the drop in window? http://percyshp.com/store/index.php?...&productId=638
