Default GMMG catback on Lt1

I was wondering if I where to buy a GMMG exhaust for my 95 formula, would I have to have adapters or something or will it just fit on? I know these where pretty much made for the LS1 cars, but it says on their site it fits 82-02 fbody's...will I need any adapters like you need for the SLP LM setups?

thank you.

if you buy it from them they will give you what you need to make it work... i bought mine direct from them and IIRC it was just a simple install... sounds amazing... just got done building my motor and now with lt's and a pretty heavy cam its just ridiculous... and its stainless.... good luck with your purchase... is your car a dual cat car? becuase if its a single cat car i believe you will need an adapter pipe... not sure on taht though mine was a dual cat car

you will be fine, you may need to tweak the hangars a bit and weld the over the axle pipe but it will fit just fine

Mine is a '95 single cat car, but it has a cutout. and I'm buying it through a vendor, not GMMG directly. (I've heard they are not answering phones, returning calls, and nobody's at their shop.)

I'm not investing $750 in sumthing that's unsure, otherwise I'd be happy to deal with them directly. However, I love the exhaust, so I'm buying it from a vendor.

Looks like I'll have to email them with my questions.

Several years ago I bought a GMMG catback and it bolted right up to my '95, however it did have LT's. I had to cut the I-Pipe to fit perfectly with my ORY which you would have to do with any catback but everyone else was money.

Check with Vengeance Racing they are just down the road from where GMMG was/is, and will take care of you. https://www.vengeancerd.com/ecart/pr...Exhaust-System.
Some of the guys used to work at GMMG, they are a sponsor on here and and they had a deal going on here not to long ago you may want to ask them about.

We are the exclusive dealer for the Chambered exhaust now guys!!! The LT1 guys will need a few brackets in addition to the basic system. We will be happy to supply these for our LT1 customers!!

Oval tips are in stock as well and can be purchased with/without a chambered system

Did GMMG go out of business? That would kinda suck.

Yea, it would, I hope to get one for a vehicle someday and would hate for it to be nearly impossible to find one. I tried to replicate it by using a number of different chambered bullet mufflers, and it did not work. Still good, but not GMMG. I would put it on this one buy I spent too much on the exhaust already.

BTW in case you didn't know, every single chambered exhaust that is bullet style, be it the powerstick, classic chambered or dynomax, is exactly the same. Some people seem to think different, but they are all the same and sound the same, it's all in the bends, pipe size and where you put them.

It means a lot that you actually get on here and read this stuff and interact with fellow enthusiasts!

Are the LT1 brackets an additional charge?

Marc3, you couldn't be more wrong in your statement.

I was wondering about his statement...but I've never dealt with chambered mufflers to know enough about them to argue/debate.

I didn't mean to offend, I should have put "in my opinion" in front of that. But still.....Why is it then when I get a dynomax bullet from the TSP rumbler, then swap it out with a powerstick, not only does it sound the exact same, but when I look at the dynomax he cut off and the powerstick I get in the mail, they look the same. Straight tube with baffles. I also got 2 cherry bombs to put before the tailpipes to quiet it down and they look just like shorter powersticks on the inside.

Now, I'm more than willing to be proven wrong, I don't work for any exhaust company or anything like that, I've just had a few different set ups, probably not as many as a lot on here. Logically, when thinking about other traditional mufflers, thye have a lot to work with to and to do to make each muffler sound different, they often show you a cutaway of the design. But with the chambered mufflers, they all look the same, I don't see what could be different. But as stated, I'm no expert and I'm not looking for an argument, so sell me on the difference. Maybe it's something simple that I couldn't possibly see or am just overlooking?
