Tuning software What is a good idea to use on a 95 trans am lt1 (obd2 mutt) want to change gear ratio, pull egr, pull air, little stuff but still not sure which route to take. not sure what kind of codes it throws (P or just 3 digit codes) since it only has 14k miles i never had a code set, knock on wood. also where should i buy it ans should i get a different pcm just incase?

What is an OBD2 mutt? That car is OBD1, not OBD1 1/2, OBD1. It uses two digit OBD1 codes. Saw one guy post they are OBD 1 1/2, not sure what he was smoking. The connector looks like an OBD2 connector, but does not contain the class 2 data terminal and wire. It's just OBD1. The connector does not make it something else. The PCM and code is exactly the same as the 1994 models (with the older style connector), which nobody calls anything other than OBD1. It's OBD1.

How tuner friendly is tunercats? Ive used AEM and Haltech on my 240sx and like the setup of there software. Is tunercats similar to that? Anyone know where i can get a free version of the software to get used to it?

If you have seen a '94 "throw P codes", somebody put a '96/'97 box in it, and the connector would have to been changed so the scanner could access the class 2 comunications pin. The '94/'95 PCM absolutely will NOT "throw P codes". The connector does not make it an OBD2. Period.
