Wideband placement question..

a friend of mine with an x-pipe just runs it on 1 collector. the closer it is the more accurate. you could just do as mentioned and weld a bung on each side and alternate while datalogging/tuning. mine being at the end of my y-pipe is all over the effing place so am no closer to knowing which side is running better than the other than he is. if you need to run one on both for peace of mind then maybe you should consider where else that money could have gone to.

Now one question. Excuse my ignorance but.. If I were to run (2) wideband sensors (one on each collector), could I somehow splice the wire from engine harness into the wideband sensor signal wire so while the car is running, the sensors can act as narrowbands, adjusting AFR as I'm driving (from change in climate, etc)?

if you had some way of converting the 0-5v signal to 0-1v for the PCM then it might be possible but i think all it will do is leave you with an expensive narrow band. i read about some honda guys trying to do it.

When I was still running my turbo Saturn, I had an AEM UEGO wideband and that had a narrowband output coming off the controller. I tried running that to the pcm and all it did was **** it off. It gave a clean signal but the pcm could not figure out how to interpret it. I don't know if the LT1 ecu will like it or not.

You can output a narrowband signal to the ecm with the LM-1 and maybe LC-1. The LM-1 has 2 0-5v programmable analog outputs for narrowband or wideband signals. I'm not 100% sure about the LC-1, but I think it's the same.
