Cousin looking to do heads and cam Well my cousin has a stout LT1 car that he is looking to do heads and cam (lucky bastard got a tax return). But I told him he need to put all new bearings polish crank, you know freshen up everything. The reason I am saying this is because the motor has 180,000+ miles. Just would like some insight on what you guys think. Also he is looking for some used P&P heads and cam so if you know someone who is selling of have some for sale your self let me know and I will relay it to him.
well if hes going to do a rebuild i would at least put in forged pistons and rods and also arp fasteners. A stock rebuild i wouldnt do and i think you will get the same advice from most guys around here.
What are his goals, budget? How much power does he want? with kind of street manners is he willing to put up with? What mods does he have already?
