lt1's out of production?
lt1's out of production? so heres what ive heard. a local body shop tried to order 5 fully assembled replacement engines, GM said they were no longer making the lt1 engines and havent made one in 4 months. and that all the lt1s setting on a shelf for sale, will be the last ones to have been made

Secondly, now that "GM" stands for "Government Motors", Washington will be seeing to it that GM builds the kind of cars that "the people" want to buy...... In other words, the .gov wants everybody in "effin" electric golf carts, so a 572 doesn't fit into their plan.....get used to it!!
With respect to the LT1 dilemma....the last cars that they went into were the '97 Z-28s....That's 13 years ago, nobody keeps inventory that long. I was at the dealer earlier today, ordering some of the "molded rubber" tubes and lines for my '96 Z-28, as they're cracking from heat and age. The counterman said I was "lucky" as those parts are still available....
