Default Educate this man : True Duals?

A guy I know says an X pipe is not true duals, he persistently calls me an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about. Can you please clear up this, because X pipes are true duals.

An x-pipe is only part of a true dual system.

True duals in a term typically used by late model F-body guys since our cars has "dual" exhaust from the factory, but not "true duals". Although the guy claiming a cross over pipe means it's not true duals is an idiot. Some use X pipes, H pipes, or none, as long as it's duals off the headers/manifolds to the tailpipes it's "true duals".

"true dual exhaust is not a x pipe retard a true dual exhaust runs straight back and never crosses a x pipe is just as bad as a single pipe the exhaust has to cross at the x slowing down and cloging up if you have a x pipe your retarted cuz it does all the ******* good of a single pipe and u say i need to learn alot about cars y dont you run along now little kids shouldnt be trying to act like they know what their doing. talk to me again when your not a compleat ******* dumbass." this is his guote

Some older guys might only consider "true duals" as each header has its own pipe, no crossover, straight out the back, each as an independent system.
That was what my GFs dad said about my old "true dual" setup.

I think its that, but allowed to run a crossover as long as it goes independent again with each their own muffler/and or cat

the x pipe actually helps flow not hinder it....your v6 stang buddy should learn a thing or two before he goes ranting about stuff. Exhaust flows in pulses and the x pipe helps scavenging (if done correctly). The low pressure system from a pulse on the drivers side header will pull the next pulse from the passenger side header and so on.

ya technicaly it go's into one pipe. but i still consider it a truedual. and its better than what some old guys say are "trueduals". the x-pipe, helps pull exhaust gas out of the engine and flows better than some stupid traditional truedual.

Sounds like you need to start hanging around different people then honestly. Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just tell him ok and to go bleach his genes.

How many years of school did that guy successfully complete? If you were wearing mittens, would you have to remove your shoes & socks in order to make the count?

Maybe he has "X" and "Y" mixed up. They are pretty close in the alphabet.

The issue here is that the v6 mustangs firing order does not warrant the need for a crossover setup. They fire evenly, basically making a crossover just another expense. This is more likely the reason he has his attitude.

Tell him to learn to spell and use proper grammar before he talks trash. Not only are his facts incorrect, but he looks like an idiot trying to prove it.

Have him wikipiedia the scavaging effect, he may learn something.

After having read the thread i'd have to agree with merv haha!

Your friends obviously has no idea about the concept, otherwise even if his mustang didnt benefit from it, he would still realize other cars do.

Sounds like a tard to me.
People try to tell me that my TD's are not really TD's because I use a single muffler with dual in and dual out.
