Default lt1 fuel pressure?

So today I checked my fuel pressure btw ,its a 1994 camaro lt1,and just with the key on it held at like 39psi and then I unplugged the fpr hose with the engine on to simulate full throttle and it read at about 45psi.Is this normal? And do any of you all have trouble getting a consistent reading from the schrader valve because it looks like it was bending the hose to the tester and I when repositioned the hose straight it gave me a higher reading? Thanks for reading

43.5psi is what they call for but you're in the zone. Did you only hit the key once? If so, had you hit it twice it probably would have gone to roughly 43.5

It should be in that ballpark. If it's any lower than 39 you maybe have a bad regulator or weak pump.

GM spec is 41-47psi with the key on, engine off. At idle, pressure should drop 3 to 10psi and slowly increase with throttle position.

if you are worried about not getting a good reading you can do what is called a dead head pressure test that is where you check the pressure at the fitting that goes in the fuel filter.

I just posted the pressure.

You shouldn't have any kind of problem getting an accurate reading using a standard gauge.
