Default How can I identify what heads I have?

I Just bought my first camaro from a lady whos son had passed away.She claims the heads are aftermarket. Whats the easiest way to find out the specs on them? Someone help a noob out please!

If it makes 500 HP and runs 10s they're probably from AI (www.advancedinduction.com)


Otherwise they're something inferior, like LE, AFR, Trickflow, Dart, etc

I believe most aftermarket heads have their name/marking on the front of them. If not then pull one valve cover (drivers side is easier to pull) and look for a part # or other ID on the head.

if you take them off they all have casting numbers too. granted that could take a little longer.

Casting numbers can be seen by pulling a valvecover, that is pretty easy.
