lt1 removal questions..
'm planning on dropping my motor soon, and I've read all the tutorials I've found, but idk where i can get a cart thing to set the engine on, but I've seen some people drop the engine without the cart thing from the bottom, and they just leave the wheels on the front... is there any tutorial showing how to do this or what? it seems to be a lot easier.
help, thanks.

just leave the wheels on and if you have a strut tower brace it makes it real easy but if not I just had a buddy help stabilize the struts, grab the tailshaft and wheel it around like a wheelbarrow

Ya its actually pretty easy..
Either get a forklift with a chain, wrap it around the metal brace in front place a pallet underneath the engine with some blocks on the sway bars so when the engine is free it can rest there. Just unbolt and disconnect all the wiring and its on the floor. With me and my dad we disconnected everything in like 2hrs, and dropped it in another 1hr or so.
Oh be careful to not yank the chain to much when lifting the car, cause it will bend the brace. I have see it on other camaros so i was careful.

the dolleys from harbor work great used them on two motors last week and were only like 14 bucks. i was worried about doing it at first but after the first one we had the motor out of the donor car in about an hour or so. lot easier then it it looks. just be carefull with the jackstands!

ok I am going to bring this one back...I pulled my motor once before but it was on a lift. This time I am doing it in my garage and someone posted up about the "metal brace" is that the radiator support they are referring to? I would prefer to go off of the frame horns as they did in the write up by michiganspeed but it seems like I have a bundle of wires and some sort of control box on the front passenger side. I was assuming it was for the airbag system but I am not sure. Hopefully someone can clarify or offer another way to pick the damn thing up
