I might be the only one but I don't like the Map sensor right there. You know that you can remotely mount the map sensor and run rubber line to the sensor port right??? It doesn't need to be mounted IN vacuum to be useable.... I'm guessing you used the large port that sits on the back half of the manifold for that mount location..... I think it's interesting I just don't like how it's standing up back there.... but hell to each his own.... Other than that IMHO it's a beautiful setup....

and I like the fact that you're from Rhode Island... <----------------------------North Providence born and raised....

how's the Hot weiners out there right now? NY System makes me drool just thinking about it....
Yea i was thinking about remotly mounting it but I didn't want to have to worry about a rubber hose running to the MAP as well as any vacuum leaks or pressure drops/time delays through the rubber hose. Plus this gave me something to do last saturday when it was pouring rain lol......its cool to talk to a fellow rhodie...and yea they NY System is as good as ever at 3AM

Thanks. Basic rundown:

Custom T76 setup (utilizing LT1 factory manifolds)
383ci (9:1)
Stock heads/intake
218/230 114
M6
Stock rear (3.42's)

It ran hard for a little bit, but I have been bitten by some electrical bug. Car won't start now. Haven't dynoed it or taken it to the track because it didn't run long enough before the electrical issue. Car felt strong though... would spin the tires from a 3rd gear roll once it hit 5psi. It will hold 8psi in 4th gear without tire spin.

Default Progress.............

Well I'm getting there......got the car fired up last friday and its getting painted this friday hopefully, with a bit of luck I'll be driving it down the street next week sometime. Got the intake together.....had to do some serious machining of some spacers and re-locating and angling the bolts. But after that 2 day bridgeport expidition the thing bolted right on and the car fired right up. Problem now is no IAC so it idles a bit weak for the first couple of minutes its running....but hey its a track car. ;-)

Heres some pics of the completed build and a video of the car running. Like my makeshift throttle cable? lol

If you are going from a stock style intake to the single plane you are going to be VERY VERY pleased. On my little motor I went 10.93 with a stock intake. I put a carb on the dual plane GM intake and went 10.83. Last year I upgraded to a Vic Jr. Went 10.68. That day we only got one 1/4 pass and had to go to 1/8 mile cause of weather and wind. I made some runs later in the day that showed around a 10.60 or 61.

So I think you will be very happy with the change.

I know this is a little old, but how did you hook up your Wilson 105mm TB? May do this mod, need some insight.

Quick what about TPS, IAC, not too worried about throttle linkage. I think I can get an adapter for the IAC to make the GM LT1 IAC bolt to the Wilson TB. Not real sure on the TPS though?

This is an awsome setup, got any pictures of those angled spacers to make the intake bolts the correct angle? This is what i was planning on doing instead of having it machined i just am unsure of the angle i need, thanks!
