Engine bay rebuild thread..
Enjoi... the dash was an ultimate pain in the ***. I actually ended up cracking my dash pad.
But now that it's all goin back together and alllllllll the hvac stuff is out, it's worth it. I could change out my passenger side O2 sensor from the top if I wanted to. If you decide to do it just remember... patience is a virtue. Just kidding!
I did get the water pump painted tonight though. Ditched the two lines for heat. Just need to tap em out and plug em. That's it for tonight.

So I came to the decision this morning that I'm going to be running an electric water pump instead of mechanical... Which lead to....

Pulling the water pump gear. Does anyone know if I should plug the hole where the bearing was with a freeze plug or just leave it how it is???
Also got the timing cover cleaned up and the garage organized for my parts coming tonight!!!

drilled out all the spot welds and got the new section lined up with the old.

Still gotta do the inner fender corner.
That's all for today.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Got my CSR EWP and 160º thermostat.

This water pump is awsome. The quality looks great and this thing is practically weightless. It was a little pain to grind out the inside of the water pump but no one will ever see in there.

Got the opti cleaned up.

And the inner fender done.

That's it for tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to finish all the bondo on the raidator support and inner fender and then start getting this baby painted. Any suggestions on what to paint the engine bay with?? It'll most likely be black.
I just swapped to electric water pump not long ago ( thread here ) and I had the same question about the hole after removing the pump so I ended up by just leaving it empty.
Everything is back together and working perfectly.
94Aquaformula I'm getting there. After I get the bodywork done I'll prolly get started on the brakes.
