Compression test. Should I be worried.
Question is, I broke a valvespring a few yrs. ago, and it kissed a piston, it chipped the top corner of the piston. I replaced the valvespring/pushrod/Valve. I then sold the car last yr. and bought it back this yr.The person I sold the car to also broke a valvespring, but just replaced the valspring. She never pulled the head.I did check the pushrod, and it was not bent. I did the compression test and the numbers were 165 on some of the cylinders and up to 185 on others. Just curious, could I still have a bent valve? Car doesn't seem to be missing, or popping or backfiring. Would a bent valve not build up compression? When I broke the valvespring, the valve was bent and was in the closed position. But didn't pop or backfire. Im taking the car for a good dynotune next month, and just want to make sure it's tip top. If I have to I will pull the head, but Im just wanting to know if the compression test would show a bent valve?
and do the compression numbers still show a halfway healthy motor? thanks.
Yes if a valve is bent enough compression can leak past the valve seat and can possibly burn up the valve.

K-750's. Single coil. Head porter put them on when. I had the heads done.
Now comp beehives. I didn't know I had to pull all the plugs out. I just pulled. One
at a time. I will re do the test then. I'm running crane gold 1.6 rr's.
Thanks for the help. Sorry for crappy wording. I'm on my cell.
