Exhaust install question

Okay I have pacesetter long tubes, my question is this, how do you make the transition from the 3 inch slip fit collector on the headers to the 2.5 inch piping I have?

I was told 3 inch to 2.5 inch reducer, and got some, but how do you connect them on the headers?

An easy way would be to slip them over the Collectors..and band-clamp them in. Then weld the 2.5" up to them.
