LT4 10mm rocker studs??
Alright so the LT4 heads I have got the 10mm rocker studs. From what I read is that these studs are the non adjustable ones and all I have to do is torque the rocker locking nut down to 18-20#. I guess when you torque them down it automatically sets the preload at ~3/4 turn. Have you guys heard of studs like these before and is 18-20# the correct torque?

Only early STOCK LT4s had this stud and rocker. Things like the LT4 HOT cam kit do not. 18 lb. ft. is the torque value. The stud should be easily identified by a shoulder along it's length that the rocker sits on.

Yea it has a shoulder or lip along the top of the of the stud, it looks like this one in the picture on the right. The motor I have is from a 96 vette LT4 not a LT4 conversion

Yea its my first time ever hearing of studs like this so when i hear about just torqueing down the rocker lock nut it kinda scares me. But if thats how GM does it and has no issues then I guess its good.
