Default Newbie question: What to do next?

So I've got a budget of about $1000 to throw at my car, and am wondering what would be the best thing to invest in. I was leaning towards either a new torque convertor, some suspesion upgrades, or a custom exhaust. The car currently has a 2800 stall B&M TC, and crappy Edelbrock shortie headers. Just looking for people's opinions, thoughts, etc.

Current mods are (copied from my "garage" list):

Comp Cams Xtreme Energy cam, Comp hydraulic roller lifters, Proform aluminum roller rockers, P&P'd heads/intake, S.S. valves, SpeedPro forged aluminum pistons, MSD 6AL, MSD coil, MSD 8.5mm wires, BBK 58mm TB, Edelbrock headers, Lucas 42lb injectors, Granatelli 255lph fuel pump, Granatelli Racing MAF, TrickFlow intake elbow, K&N CAI, aftermarket computer, 4.10 gears

If I were you, I'd do some nice suspension upgrades like LCAs, torque arm, and SFCs.

100% HANDS DOWN a torque converter.

best single mod for an auto BAR NONE.

I'd get at least a 3600 with your mods.

Oh and ditch the granatelli for a stock MAF.

Oh and then you'd be forced to go suspension route.

If you can bypass emissions/sniffer test I would ditch the current headers and throw on some LT's. If not a Yank SS3600 would be sweeeeeet

A buddy has offered to help me set up a nitrous kit on my car, he's a local guy who runs low 11's with his Malibu and seems to know his stuff.

What are LCAs? Sorry, newbie! How do you upgrade them?

Oh, and no, we have no emissions testing on the island I live on. They have it in the rest of the province, but so far, the island is exempt

personally I love havin a nice exhaust note so I would get some true duals and prolly keep those edelbrock headers for now and get some LCA's to help it hook. if you wanted to you could just go w/ nice cat back, sell the cat to a metal salvage place(they pay the best) and get LCA's AND a bigger stall

I would ditch the shorties then go with the stall or suspension, were you the one who was doing the flat black car?

Did that ever get finished?

I would love to see pics!
