Default What cam is in this Camaro? Video in.

Info in this videos says LT4 Conversion. Isn't that too "choppy" for an LT4? There are two videos in this thread, both with info : LT4 conversion, Pacesetter LTs, No Cats and a GMMG, however, the red one sounds BIGGER.
It sounds to me more like a 306 or a 503 on the red one, the guy never answers questions I think someone just posted this on there with the wrong info as far as cam.
I could be wrong but I never heard an LT4 hot cam like that so I thought to ask ur opinions. I've seen this video on LS1 tech before.

It may sound more aggressive because it is running through a GMMG exhaust. They are extremely loud and they further exemplify the cam lope.

if i remember correctly, this car has a cc306 in it. I have seen the video a long time ago when searching for 306 sound clips, and i distinctively remember the hilarious "rav it" comment. lmao.

It can pass for a Hot Cam. If it's a 306 then he needs to turn the idle down.

Well, here's another video for an LT4 and a GMMG (This one does indeed have an LT4 conversion by the way), except it's with a CME. Listen to both and compare, I think beside the camera's sound quality this is indeed an LT4 cam like most of you guys are saying. Here's the the video that sounds almost the same except a bit deeper because of the CME (By the way, both have pacesetter LTs, no cats and a GMMG) :

It's probably just the exhaust. Here is mine with a dumped 4", it idles right around 800rpm.

Hotcam, single 4"

That sound "might" pass as a HC ground on a 110, but it is clear that it is a big cam.

Both sound good, but the first one sounds like it has a bit more cam. It's all very deceptive - my cam "sounds" like a HC, but I assure you it isn't.

my 503 sounds suttle thru a hooker exh , when it was open header it was loud and lumpy it all depends on a lot of factors ,tune ,cats, long -short -stock headers ,tune of car and what not . noone can tell what cam is in a car by listening to it

Maaaaaan, it's getting a bit complicated here between a hot cam and a 306 , I did not expect it to be easy to tell and I agree it could almost be impossible to tell just by listening to it. Maybe we'll get into someone who actually knows this car.

That car has a cc306. I want to say 4-5 years ago that video was posted and the description stated it has a cc306 cam, sounds just like one too. Whoever posted the video on youtube clearly has no idea what is done to the car.
