yeah i didn't skimp on anything, everything was the best, ATI damper = $400, injectors = 400, crank 500, rods 500 etc etc. and thats without labor lol. it was 12 all said and done. I am kinda pissed tho, I was going to do a 383 but said nah and figured I could just use a new stock shortblock and be fine, then i changed my mind and went all forged. Oh well. I am thinking about bolting the 10-bolt back in and see if it puts out 420rwhp. I bet it will..

Man don't even wory about those dyno #'s. Your car should run strong on some MT's. Launch that sucker at 6k and spray it out the hole. I bet no other 10 bolt will touch you even w/ a 383 and a 300 shot. What I'm saying is that going back to a 10bolt will actully slow you down cause you wont be able to put the power down to the ground, it will brake w/ some sticky tires.

Dyno numbers seem low to me but they don't mean much. Just for tuning IMO. Take it to the track and see how it runs.

Funny you think they are low when they are about the same as basically every other similar well put together combo. I think they are right where the should be. What makes you think they are low?

LS2pontiac I think about what my car could dyno with a 10bolt also, but its not worth it to swap back. Oh and hell yes bring that car to the Shootout!

Power seems right to me given the mods and the 9" rear end. That cam is not a huge cam either so again I'd say that's pretty good power.

Congrats. You probably have 15-20rwhp with some small changes to exhaust etc.

i already bought a brand new GM shortblock, i was going to just keep it that way and try and save a few grand. I am sure it would have been fine, but then my builder convinced me to go forged...and i already had forged pistons that couldn't be returned, just needed the crank and rods. I just didnt know what i was doing, but its whatever

Default Why spend money on true duels?

Many experiments by after market manufactures show an efficient single exhaust system slightly out performs true duels and besides it doesn't hang down so far under the car. I'd stick with what works. Put money in handling and traction.
