In most cases, no. If you're starting with new headers and a new cat-back, nah.

Really...so as long as I get a kit for my specific car, then everything just bolts on? That's awesome! So it's settled then, I'll dedicate the next free days (probably not til next week) to the Camry (just in case). I need to get in running again anyways. Then I'll check back and make sure I get the right products.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I'm far from out of the woods yet, but you all have been a great help.

I know with my Kooks headers and GMMG catbak, there was no welding involved. I suspect that would be the case on most any brand new system designed specifically for your car.

I wouldn't say that a header/catback install is easy, but I also wouldn't say it's difficult. I would say it's more time consuming than anything else, but if you read this board often enough I'm sure you'll run across someone that started from scratch and finished in thirty minutes. If you have a helping hand during the header install, things will probably go much smoother.

Something else I will say is that if you like working on stuff like that, you might actually think it's fun. Throw in some beer and it might turn into a party, but only if you're of legal drinking age.

Haha, I'm 20, but I don't drink anyways. Yeah, I know a few people who I think would be willing to help, but first I should probably get the Toyota back on the road. Haven't decided if I want to sell it or keep it to save on gas and keep some miles off the Camaro...cause right now I'm driving 42 miles to school (one way) three times a week, and it's 22 miles to work.

Should be all slip fit, just need quality band clamps and o2 sensor harness extensions! Good header gaskets and upgraded header bolts should be on the list too. Try a search, there has been atleast 20 "how to install headers" threads over the last year or two it seems... As BTC stated it's not the hardest job but not the easiest. Plan on a whole weekend to do the job. That way if something starts to **** you off, walk away from it and come back later. Don not work on the car pissed off lol, that just makes everything twice as hard and more mistakes are made...Ask me how I know lmao!!
