im putting a clutch in my lt1 tommorow and i was wondering what is the procedure to bleed the slave cylinder and do i need to bleed the master cylinder???

The MC will bleed as you push on the clutch pedal as to the Slave, make sure you have the cap of the reservior and some thick leather gloves on. Depress the piston on the slave, holding the rear vertical to allow all the bubbles to flow up the line. It takes quite a bit of pumping, so it's best to have a buddy watch the reserviour for bubbles and keep pumping until you don't see any more. Once your done, bolt it up to the bellhousing and then press the clutch several time (watching the fluid level, and making sure it does not drop). Keep adding to keep the level hi. Then your done as you will start to feel the clutch pedal get much firmer. Remember, DO NOT push the clutch pedal with the slave unbolted from the bell housing as you will destroy it.

If you have not taken the assembly slave/master apart why bleed it?
If it is old you need to spend 150.00 and purchase a new hydr. system from www.ws6store.com

Yeah if you're just swapping the clutch you do not need to bleed anything.
