Unless you are amazing with fabrication I wouldn't even attempt it. Go for a centrifugal blower from Vortech or Procharger, better yet just go the turbo route and you'll be more than pleased.

roots would be some work but not much..you would have to mod the hell out of the sb blower intake though

Shouldn't be that much work......

-Cut the water neck off and block the passages
-plug the Dist. hole
-convert bolt pattern (heads or intake..your choice)
-weld in injector bungs, and make custom fuel rails
-go with an LSx style Magnacharger (TB inlet up front....then use an LSx TB)
-Have Magnacharger build a custom jack shaft
-Run your pulley arrangement.
-Make a custom intake setup

This may require a cowl hood to clear, or you may get lucky and have it clear the stock hood.

In actuality I think it's easier than most think, but no one wants to try it because it will require some $$$ and fabrication and thinking outside the box. This is the exact plan for my 408 build once I can finally get the ball rolling (putting it off right now because of the $$ involved). It is doable, just requires some engineering to work.

well you are planing on useing a screw with the magnaflow..he said roots so im thinking a roots blower like 8-71 or 10-71....an if doing that he would want to run a distributer or atleast i would..stock fuel system wont work and he would need to go with a bs3 or fast to controle the injection..its way cheaper to just run dual 650 carbs and easier..he would have to mod the water neck

Correct, I just throw them all in the same category since they all pretty much work on the same principals.... But a big roots blower as you're stating would be a royal PITA to get to work and be "decent" on a small cube motor (FWIW, I believe roots should only be put on big blocks, they just look wrong an a small block anything). And I would think a stock "style" fuel system could be used aside from a bigger pump and lines....the stock computer would most defitely be the stopper from making big power. You could even go to the LSx pcm and be able to run it nicely.

Yes, this is why it has taken this long to come up with complete drawings and tooling to make more! I have to test this one first before I will feel comfortable selling more! I will keep my site updated with my progress.
Cheers!

I am planning to have product available mid July. I will sell the intake manifold, base plate, bypass assembly, fuel rails, throttle body elbow all for the Whipple 175AX.There are options for a custom base plate for other SC's. You will have to purchase the Whipple direct since there would be no savings to bring it to Canada first and then send it back to the US.
