Default Another Exhaust Thread

Im about to get long tube headers and gonna do a true dual setup using Flowmaster 10 series mufflers. Im torn on if i should use a X, H, or no crossover pipe. Im not worried about how loud it is, i just want it to sound very deep and throaty without alot of pop or raspyness in the exhaust. Which crossover pipe do you guys like best? Ive been watching youtube videos and the H and X pipes both sound good but havnt been able to find a video without a crossover pipe yet with these mufflers.

Volume will be dictated on how long the exhaust is and where you have it dumped, and with what type of tips you use. If you dump the pipes before the rear axle (like most people do) with turn-downs, it will be loud. The general consensus is that an x-pipe is what you want to use for maximum power. They will produce more power than an H-pipe in the higher RPM range.

On a side note, if you do follow through with this dual idea, I suggest going all the way back with your tips. I can't stand a T/A bumper without tips in the bumper niches.

The x-pipe is the best for exhaust scavenging which with give you the best potential power output

The exhaust will be dumped before the axle till inspection time. Then i might have to make pipes to go under the rear and out the back or however i may have to do it. Aside from the power, which do you like better for sound? Ive noticed the H seems more thundery and deep while the X has a smoother exhaust note. And i still cant really get a good video without a crossover pipe.

I dont think ill worry with the crossover pipe. I kinda like the simplicity of having single chamber flowmasters right off the header and dump them. I can later make pipes to come out the back if i have to. I want the car to be loud since i dont drive it everyday.

The x-pipe will aid in power production. I'd incorporate it into your plans.
