You have to do a rebuild. This means:

-complete disassembly. When I mean complete, I mean, pistons, rings, timing chain, cam, crank, oil pump, EVERYTHING that bolts to the block needs to come out.
-cleaning, hot-tanking, magnafluxing
-machine work (boring, line-honing, crank polishing, etc.)
-reassembly (including balancing)

Take it to a machine shop and hope it doesn't run you more than $1800. Using stock resized crank and rods with a forged piston, and you MIGHT be under budget.

That should be your next course of action. This is not disputable. Turn the motor over and pull off the main caps and inspect the bearings and PULL EVERYTHING OUT.

In all honesty, you need to have it hot-tanked with the amount of gasket material, sludge, dirt, and grime you've accidentally dumped into it.

You need to cut your losses and start over.

First of all... GET YOUR HEAD OFF OF THE BLOCK LIKE THAT!!! Your gonna scar up the mating surface on the heads and you will have to get them milled just to put them back on or else they will never seal right!!!

Second, which side was the sound coming from? Driver or Passenger side??

Please DO NOT try and hone it yourself let some body else that knows what their doing do it for you. But first you need to get the rest of it apart and see if it needs to be bored out. If the passenger side was making he noise why didn't you take that side apart first?

Did you bend the hell out of your steam crossover tube with it still attached to both heads? I'm just curious seeing that you have the head almost in the lifter valley and it is still connected. Like others stated there is something obviously wrong with the rotating assembly. There is no being cheap now. Whats done is done. All you can do now is try to prevent further damage to your engine. Tear it down and do as Joe said.

You can bet money that, if you try and reassemble it yourself, every person on this forum will say "Told you so."

I admire your determination. But at this stage where the potential to destroy everything you've done is so high, just swallow your pride and let the professionals do it.

I didn't notice that but I said that earlier the first thing to do before taking the heads off is to remove the coolant tube do you refuse to read and now i see instead of taking off the connector for the oil pressure sensor you just broke the whole sensor

x2!!! All it takes is 1 missed step, 1 piece of trash, 1 little thing to go wrong and your entire engine will go kablooey and like RAMAIR said....we will ALL say "I told you so" but some in not so nice wording. Your at the point of no return. Do it right, or throw everything in the garbage and go buy a bicycle.

Maybe you guys should just back off a tad. There's been enough ragging on this dude for one day. He's learning the hard way he fucked up.

Not trying to completely defend the guy, but still.

haha true. My motor had 186xxx miles on it and im on borrowed time with mine. I figured I would do the cam swap two years ago when i was low on money and now i just dont have time to finish it. So once it is back on the road it will be off to the machine shop not to long there after. And I was actually very careful on mine not to get anything in there. cleaned up, covered, and taped up every time i walked away. As dirty as it looks around his motor I can only imagine how bad it is inside the motor.
