I feel sorry for the guy. Us guys like to do stuff ourselves but we have to know when we cant do it. Maybe he dont realize how precise everything has to be, I mean he dont sound that old. Hell, where I live, the shops dont even want to mess with a 4th gen f-body. They want you to take out the engine yourself. I have built many old school v-8's but I dont want to mess with my LT1. I could probably do it just fine but I dont want to take any chances. Even if I was an expert, I would still give it to ramair if he would do it for $1800, I mean thats an awesome deal. Good luck and PLEASE be good to your car and dont half-*** it. Do it right. I would never treat my car like a mustang. Put all bolts in baggies, mark all wires, vacuum lines take pictures HAVE SOMEONE HELP YOU. Just listen and everyone will quit raggin on you. I know your young, but I'm 38 and would still WANT help. I wouldnt even start if I didnt have help.

Reading this thread reminded me of some of "1 craz28's" great wisdom and wealth of knowledge before he was permanantly banned for being a retard:
I am trying to suck/reburn all the hot under hood air I can. If I could I would mount the air filters on the headers.
Well true, But, it does'nt really spin the air but disrupts it. Also creating a pressure difference in front of the TB
Thanks, I think! You see my 58mm TB is a little too big for a stock engine so I used a restricter plate. I tell you just starting it, I noticed a little better low end
What is the best standard bore forged piston on the market? With the highest compression?
While cruising today my throttle got caught on my HAI's hose clamp! Spinning and banging second (not that it was really going anywhere) bouncing off the 5800rpm rev limiter I quickly shut it off. I heard a zzzzzzzzzz before cut off, sitting, wondering why in the hell I still have this car! I started it only to get a steady idle at threequater throttle and a faint metal on metal sound?
The "HAI" combined with "THe Honken Cam" was the best thing that ever happened to this thing!
I am thinking of upgradeing my intake to a pair of gsxr 750 FI TB's. The technology of a dual butterfly TB is awesome. The way it works is the primary butterfly stays closed to improve low and midrange power for cruising. But when you power command the TB both butterflies open up delivering full air/fuel delivery! Should be a very simple swap
I'm thinking of insulating with lead tubeing?
Actually it's a Quatro Viper Helix Vette Caprice intake! Hot air intake!!!!!
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGG GGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@#$%%^%^&&**()(*& ^%$$##@@ this car!!!!!!!
Dude! Believe me. My stock 93 Z28 will SMOKE a stock LS1 or LS3 for that matter!
Aluminum blocks can't hook! There too light in the front.......Iron baby! Yes, the LS9 motor IS the baddest engine built by man-kind! Non-military anyways. And I know a guy who just set the national record with his
And my personal favorite:
running a aluminum flywheel is the same as a 75 shot of nitrous.

^^^that is not fair, you can't compare boostedpower and Craz28!! boostedpower set out to accomplish something good and had the right idea but he is obviously young and may have gotten in a little over his head. Craz28 is some troll who posted all of that crap just to entertain himself. At least I think so, that or he is in fact a retard.
