Could an "intentionally plugged" bypass in the filter adapter cause any of this pressure loss? I am also going to take the K&N oil filter off and put a Delco back on to rules that out.

windage is the wind from the pistons and crank blowing the oil around in the pan foaming the oil or uncovering the pickup.

The oiling problems with the Canton pan are pretty much universal to all that use it.

Proper windage tray will almost always fix it.

I figured that was correct but that circle following "operating range" is what was making me think, huh.

I saw over on cz28 that two guys with a big milodon pan and stock pan fixed their pressure drop by reducing oil levels. It seems reasonable that windage was their problem.

I am going to reduce from full to this level and see what happens:

I saw somewhere the stock tray was put in with a Canton pan.

What stud kit do you need for this?

BTW I called Canton, they said fill the filter before install and put 6 quarts in the pan. This barely touches my diptstick.
