Everysince I have owned my car, the oil pressure guage has been stuck at pegged out. I put it on ramps and saw that the connector on the unit had no wires going to it. Then i found a brown wire hanging by itself that had been stripped out of something. How many wires does the oil sending unit connector have. Thanks.

The brown wire is possibly the ground wire. Cant remember what the color of the wires for the OSU. From what I know, when the gauge is pegged out, then something is not grounded or one of the wires for it has been pinched or cut.

yeah, the tip got ripped off. It is supposed to have a tip on it something like the 02 sensors from what I can see. But it looks like it would only take that brown wire like the 02 only have one wire. I'm not sure though because I have seen another one yet. Does anyone have any pics that shows there sending unit with the wires on it? That would help a lot. Thanks.
