dash part question

So I swapped the dash and I used a gauge cluster from a '96 transam. My buddy Mike (Black94z28) told me that I need a different connector that plugs into the gauge cluster. I called the dealership and they said that they don't sell just the plug but as a unit with the wiring harness.

Does anyone know where I can find that little connector to go into the back of the gauge cluster? any links or info would be appreciated.

^^ yea he said that the connectors are different because mine doesn't plug into the back of the cluster

Go to the Junk Yard..find the Connector that you need and re-pin it.

+1 cheapest and you will find it in a matter of a day rather than spending a week looking for what you may not find. Went to gm for the 96 to 97 opti plug and it ended up being $236 for a half foot wire with plugs on both ends I said f that and found that casper electronics (I think is the name) makes the same plug for 36 bucks. Put that in your pipe and smoke it GM!!! might search them and see. I'll double check the name too.

i found the part on-line they want $3.63 for the part. Which I think isn't bad. Then I go to check out and they wanted $402.00 for shipping!! WTF!! The junk yards near me have no firebirds/ta's with those parts anymore. I did however find another company that wants $16 shipped for the piece.

^^ haha yea I was like WTF is that. and then they have a FAQ "Why is shipping and handling so high?" they say it's to pay all their employees, keep website updated, all this other bullshit!

I think I might just eat the $16 and buy it for that I guess.
