So I've picked a stall...now how do I use it?
however, I have never driven a stalled car and have a few questions:
Whats the best method to launch it at the track?-do I basically just "power brake" it up into the RPM range before I launch?
Also, how would I do a burnout? (gotta know these little things)
thanks in advice fellas!
Why should I leave the burnout box in 2nd gear?
so basically, here's a run down from what I've gathered:
1. Doing a burnout in the box is the same
2. Pull up to the staging lane
3. Left foot on the break, right one waiting to punch the gas
4. When the light turns green, have it punched to the floor
is there any other pointers or anything Im missing?

I would try from a "raised idle" maybe 1200rpms or so just to put some load on and then try it more aggressively.

I got my best times foot braking it until right before wheelspin and then rolling into the gas. Flooring it off idle would have been the death of my 10bolt.
In an ideal situation with great track prep, a strong enough rear, a loose stall, and sticky tires, just flooring it from idle would be the best bet but it also is more rough on the drivetrain.
Short answer: Like suggested, try both and see which one you and your car like better

As for track prep, my local track does a damn good job with that. Every friday night before test and tune they do it up right...I can launch with it to the floor with bald street tires and hook up fine there...

thank you one and all! I did a search on this and didn't really find the answeres I was looking for, so you've all been a tremendous help.
