I'll check for vapor and vacumm tomorrow night.

When first started I ran it at around 2500 for 20 min or so. I had some problems with the flywheel not being balanced and after I fixed that I put around 200 miles on it of just regular driving before going WOT on it. After the 200 miles I changed the oil and then did a few shake down runs at the track.

the thing that sticks out to me is when you stated that the mph is down,if it was my car i would do a compression check, just to narrow it down,i know it is a ***** but it will make you sleep better..as far as incompetence putting in the frt and rear main seals if he had problems doin that i would be really worried about the rest of my motor.(i.e. broke ring)..

A local guy put the bottom end together for me. He was the one who balanced the rotating assembly and did the block work, said he would only charge me 150 to put the thing together so I thought what the hell. I had heard nothing but good things about him, but like I said, from day one I have had nothing but problems and it is all little stuff that shouldn't have been overlooked.

Just looked at the OP, oil pressure would not have anything to do with the leaks.oil pressure is a good thing to have....Does this thing leak over night or only after running it hard?

As far as I know only from running it hard. I didn't notice any leaks at all for the first couple hundred miles I put on it. The first time I noticed leaks is when I went WOT in it.

Well I put a breather in each valve cover and still have leaks. Could the pressure have blown out the seals and now they are not sealing as good? Leaks seem to be about the same.

Doing a leakdown, and compression check tonight. Also I am going to check and see how much vaccum I have.

Talked to a few people, I think the problem MAY be fixed, but the seals may have been blown out so they may be leaking just because now. Hopefully after tonight I will have some answers and at least a direction to go next.
