Default EGR Delete
Just wondering how come some vendors sell the kit with gaskets, and some sell without? Do you need the gaskets or not?

Eh. The gaskets are prolly ok, but I would use some high temp sealant on them. Black RTV works well.

RTV essentially is a gasket. I just used some black RTV on mine when I installed my headers last May and it seems to have sealed up nicely.

thats not a bad question i was actually wondering this myself, I can hear lke an air leak after i deleted mine, and i just put the plates on with no sealant. I think im gonna rtv them though and see if that helps.

The EGR valve port needs to be sealed via gasket or sealant. It is redundant to use a block off plate on the passenger side exhaust gas port since it plumbs directly into the EGR side.

x2 Ebay has the block off and gaskets for like 13-14 dollars. I got mine from local shop UMI brand for like 23. Its always the little stuff that nickel and dime you to death.

I always pick up gaskets at local parts stores. They are usually 2-3 dollars.

I tried every store in town for gaskets and found none. I hate using silicone. Ended up using a wastegate gasket from a VW to seal mine lol works great!
