I'm pretty sure it was a Cloyes setup. That might be it.

The timing set I believe is a SBC double roller, I'll double check if you'd like.

HAHA, not at all. I fall in love with it more and more when I drive it, it's just irritating to know right now it's down when the BEST weather is around...last 2 days have been sunny 65-70* and I wanna do a mountain cruise SOOO bad...haha.

i know im down right now. and its been so nice. i gotta lot of work to do.

Motor's actually done! cheaper then expected as well. Heads on the other hand, kinda threw me under the bus. The guy doing them is offering a killer price to up the valve size and install. Should pick up another 15cfm with bigger valves across the board...we're talking almost 200cfm exhaust side from a stock LT1 casting.

Just ordered the camshaft as well...I'm gettin ****** anxious as hell...

You are going to be real happy with that voodoo cam! I am a bit surprised though that nobody tried to burn you at the stake for not using a "custom grind" I am running the 60121 voodoo cam and it has very snappy throttle response. While I was at the shop last year having it dyno tuned I must have been asked 6 or 7 different times what cam I had in it and every time it was the same response....lt4 hotcam of course Your car looks great and I am excited for you to finish it up! Good luck with the rest of the build

I'm glad someone has some feedback on the Lunati cams. I honestly haven't heard much about them, I just knew the "custom" part of everyone's camshaft now a days is just a slightly modified version of an off the shelft cam...and I honestly didn't care that much. These cam specs are quite nice for me and the price was nice as well.

I'm all about some throttle response, especially matched up with the heads that will be going on the motor...should be a monster. I'm getting all jittery thinkin about it. ha.

Haha I'm in the middle of doing LE heads and a different oil pan on mine. It'll be interesting to see what kind of gains you get with the head work.

I wish it'd be more accurate but since I'm swapping cams too I have a feeling it won't be too much of a comparison. With the cam that was in Mitchell's car, well now your car, a set of heads I believe will really wake up that setup. I'm looking forward to seeing what YOU make haha.

We appreciate that man. We're still small fish compared to others but we hope to spread the word and let our work do the talking for us. If you're ever in the area give us a buzz and stop by for sure!

cam, timing chain, timing cover, opti, hub are all on. oil pan goes on tomorrow morning. then it's time to tackle the engine bay with some purple power then respraying it. then comes the interior wiring and putting the dash back in.

hope to have the first crank up in less then 2 weeks. hopefully more like a week.

still waiting to get the heads back. still need to get: lifters, head gaskets, injectors, startup tune so that i can break in the motor...then comes the dyno tune...HELL YEA!
