Default Another 383 question...

So I have a 93, 383 motor in my 94 camaro (not running yet, but its in place) and we are running into an issue...the opti is different. I know that on the 93 it has an updated "vented opti" but shouldn't it still have the same plug? I was under the impression that 94-97 was the same. What do i have to do to make this work?

Thanks to everyone for all the help in getting this motor together

93-94 the same use spline gear 95-97 the same uses drool pin so if you have the wrong opti you have to get the one for that year....hope that helps

this is an unrelated question but i didn't wanna start a new thread about this build...but I am removing my smog pump...and I was wondering if there is a belt that is the correct size that would completely bypass that pulley...or if I have to get a AIR pully bypass kit?

Sorry if its a stupid question...this is my 1st motor swap so I dont know much about it

What he said. As far as the opti, 92-94 are the same and 95-97 are the vented style
