Oil in the intake manifold?
Oil in the intake manifold? So I was pulling off my EGR block off plates today to rtv them and I noticed there was some oil on the big plate that goes over where the valve is(the big black thing on the back of the manifold). I see a few drops of oil on there. I was just wondering if this is normal, or if I should be concerned? i know that one hose on the passenger valve cover is connected to the throttle body so maybe that spits some up?
After putting a catch can on the GTO which are known for that I have been pondering putting one of the WS6 since I noticed some oil in the manifold. I have not yet come by a company that makes catch can setups for LT1's but if you go to Home Depot you can grab an air compressor filter, fittings and hose for $30 and there's your catch can. My buddy put one on his SS and another on my other buddies Vette and it not only turned out really well but it works.
