Slowly getting there!!! Found a few problems on the way...
I couldnt tell very well, but every once in a while at idle my engine seemed to stutter slightly. I set my RPMs at 3000 and held it to see what was going on...turns out I had a missfire. Started tracking it and come to find out I had completely burned through my #3 Spark Plug Wire and it had been arcing onto my header! I have only been runnign on 7 cylinders this ENTIRE TIME! I ordered my new SP wire yesterday and it should be arriving tomorrow and I can't WAIT to see what it feels like on all 8!
The second problem I was having was my fuel pressure. It has been wavering and losing pressure since just after the build. I THOUGHT it was the pump because I couldnt find a leak.....Well this mornign my fuel pressure dropped to near 0 and the car died while I was driving. I coasted it to the side of the road and looked under my car while I turned the key on and it sprayed fuel EVERYWHERE...damn fuel line busted open. I quick fixed it, bought a replacment hose and went to base and fixed it...after I did that my fuel pressure went back to normal and has no problem now, AND the car seems to run better! I am psyched! Friday (provided my wire actually gets here tomorrow) I have an appointment for my Dyno Tune!
Rear end has been put on hold just a little bit longer so I can iron all the kinks out of the engine and all, and I should be ready to install it next month. I am also picking up a set of M/T's to throw on it as an attempt to get a little more traction lmao. We will see how THAT goes.
I cant WAIT to see what she puts down and what she feels like after Friday afternoon!!!
