Default K&N filter for Trans Am Ram Air Box

My buddy hooked me up with a K&N filter for my ws6 airbox. I noticed that it came with some foam pieces that it recommends installing between the lower box portion and the filter. Did you guys install these foam pieces or just run the filter the same way a stock filter is installed?

Thanks JB. I was just a little paranoid that some of the foam could potentially rip and if small enough float through the MAF and into the motor. I suppose there's alot of ifs involved there but I'm just always parnoid.

The foam goes on the lower airbox correct?

So if you're looking at the airbox from the side you will see:

1. Lower airbox
2. The foam pieces
3. The K&N filter
4. The top airbox

I'm pretty positive its like this but I just wanted to be certain.
