Anybody ever thought about running a power glide with a gear vendors overdrive?? I think it would make for a nasty street/ strip setup!! The only problem I see is it would be pricey...

Gear vendor is a cool idea/product but I heard from alot of people that its very heavy plus it takes horsepower to turn that weight over. Better off with a 4l60 4L80 if you need overdrive that bad

Don't get me wrong I can't wait to get my hands on that DFI software, I'm done tuning this clunky stock PCM FWIW I always assumed I'd have a stick in this car, and that's the main reason I went with a 9" in the first place, reason 2 being I got a great deal on it. Wish i had the cash for star flanged and gun drilled axles, but then again I'm on a budget so it has s/t axles and a steel spool. Guess I'll just get serious with the weight reduction, and try to get down to a 3000 pound raceweight.

Nice choice - my Coan is at CMS waiting for Ryne to get some time to put it in.

you stick with a HR? I know you can get HR into the 7500 range, but with the 4.71s I'm going to have to spin pretty high to trap out. I've decided to do the cage before the solid roller, I'm picking up one of the SOS 10pt kits locally for a good price. Fontana's rarely open anyways, I'll just stick to Irwindale for awhile.

Now your gonna let the car drive you instead of you driving it? Racecar. LOL

Should be a lot more relaxing on your pockets though everytime I dump my clutch I am ready to replace another damn drivetrain part.

Yep, I stayed with a HR. I'm geared with 4.10's, so the 7500 RPM works out fine for me.

Race PSCA and SCEDA - you get way more runs in and make money if you're consistent too.
