Extreme Street no more!
Anybody ever thought about running a power glide with a gear vendors overdrive?? I think it would make for a nasty street/ strip setup!! The only problem I see is it would be pricey...
ah I didnt realize it was that heavy. guess it would kind of defeat the purpose then lol!
Wish i had that kind of cash, but I'm only 22 and live in a world of compromises
Looks like I'm getting a coan TH400 with a brake, and a protorque 4000 stall converter. I think dollarwise this will be one of best investments in my car's performance and reliability, this swap will only be a few hundred dollars. Don't get me wrong I can't wait to get my hands on that DFI software, I'm done tuning this clunky stock PCM
FWIW I always assumed I'd have a stick in this car, and that's the main reason I went with a 9" in the first place, reason 2 being I got a great deal on it. Wish i had the cash for star flanged and gun drilled axles, but then again I'm on a budget so it has s/t axles and a steel spool. Guess I'll just get serious with the weight reduction, and try to get down to a 3000 pound raceweight.

you stick with a HR? I know you can get HR into the 7500 range, but with the 4.71s I'm going to have to spin pretty high to trap out. I've decided to do the cage before the solid roller, I'm picking up one of the SOS 10pt kits locally for a good price. Fontana's rarely open anyways, I'll just stick to Irwindale for awhile.

Now your gonna let the car drive you instead of you driving it?

Racecar. LOLShould be a lot more relaxing on your pockets though everytime I dump my clutch I am ready to replace another damn drivetrain part.
Good choice on the SOS kit, nice stuff. Its all made here where I live and I know the guys. I have a LT1 solid roller cam Id sell. If your interested, shoot me a pm and Ill get ya the specs.

Race PSCA and SCEDA - you get way more runs in and make money if you're consistent too.
