Default Which ASP UD pulley is better?

Hi

Im buying ASP UD for my friend's 95 camaro z28

but there are 34% crank and 23% crank, I want black powder coated

so which one is good for not effecting the battery and alternator?

The higher the percentage, the lower your accessories will spin. Both will have an adverse effect on the alternator. You can combat this with an alternator overdrive pulley.

And FWIW, there are much better mods out there than pulleys. What mods does your friend have done?

so which one is better? 34% or 23%?

I ordered HOOKER shorties ceramic coated with y pipe recently for him,

He had at home: K&N CAI, MSD wires and distubitor, spark plugs

more to come like TB, Intake, Maf Air Flow Sensor

So its like stock for now!

With those mods neither a throttle or mass air sensor will help it will just be wasted money. As for the crank pulley you wont see a huge gain from it I would only get it if you get the pulley used for cheap. He will probably see a better gain with an electric water pump. Why did he go with shorty and not long tubes? You will see bigger gain from long tubes

cancel the shorties and get some long tubes. Shorties are junk! Don't get the ud pulley eather. Save the money and get a decent cat back or TD's.

If you're determined on getting a pulley, get the slp pulley. It will save you some trouble. The wall are taller, and the belt won't slip off like the asp pulley.

If he's worried about hp he wouldn't want shorties on his car. Id go smooth bellow intake or something other than a ud pully.

Only reason I have a UD pulley is because I got it for free, it revs a little faster, but other than that you dont really notice it. I dont have the complimenting alternator pulley, and have never had any charging problems in the 3 years Ive had it, and my UD is wayyyy smaller than stock. It does eat belts tho. Spend the money on long tubes and a cutout, proven big gains.

True Dual exhaust = td's. If it's an automatic don't get the underdrive pully. I had it and took it off my car because it would not charge in gear when I was stopped. If it's a manual I'd put one on just because. Don't get an aftermarket MAF or intake manifold.

I recommend the ASP 945103 set with the integrated balancer. No issues in 6 yr.
