Default 10k RPM LT1!

Just Kidding!


On a technical note, I've had this tach for 7 years, never had a issue until about two days ago. Now it reads double all the time? I'm going to go check the signal wire, see if it grounding out or something.

Anyone ever have one of these read double on them?

lol you should do a quik wind out run and film it and then do a slow wind out just recording audio and then speed the audio up so it sounds like it is winding out to 10k and then insert it into the video of the quick wind out and post it. You will have people scratching thier heads for moths tring to figure out how the thing is even winding that fast and how it is holding together. lol

one of the wires (or switches) must of gone to the V6 or inline 4 mod.

Its probably something internal then, just time and the sun did it in? Signal wire wasn't chaffed or burned. I'll try to see if I can call or email Autometer tomorrow. I was planning on maybe going to the track tomorrow night, I'm going to have to pull this thing out if I do go, I think instead of an aid it will be completely distracting! It will look strange to me if I do, its been there since I bought the car back in 04, I had transferred it over from my 83 Z28.

Distracting? you can live out your dream and pretend your a prostck driver for the night. lol leave at 6 to 7k rpms and winder out.

My last lt4 went 8k 10 would be sweeet LOL !! Mine ended up looking what a grenade looks like after it's been used however...
