Here's the deal guys:
The 93-97 F-Body cars arms have a reverse hook on them. The aftermarket for blades is somewhat limited because of this.
98 and newer arms have the more industry standard hooks on the arms. They are a direct replacement on the 93-97 cars. The only difference is the newer arms don't have the air deflector that's supposed to help hold the arm against the glass on the highway. I don't think this worked anyway.
The best wiper blade on the market is the Bosch Icon. They will fit the newer arms, not the older.
Here's a trick: Get wiper blades the next size shorter than the app guide calls for.

I think they didnt hit the curved areas because a conventional wiper by deign cannot fit all the contours a one piece flexible flat wiper can.

Then please make me a list of all wipers that fit. If the manufacturer says they fit then what makes them wrong besides they suck?

Yah there is more than one wiper that works, and just cause it isnt a trico doesnt mean its the wrong wiper, as you so cleverly pointed out.
I was also saying the new flat wipers are by design better at following contours of higly curved windshields.

Well now I have a crappy aftermarket (optical illusion inducing) windshield and 98+ wiper arms, and the new age flat wipers.
Couldn't be happier!Why do you say to get one size shorter wipers?

I want to bump this up. I was about to buy a set of the 98-02 arms and then saw shoebox's post and bought the Trico's. 3 pages of stuff when post#6 answered the question perfectly! $28.94 shipped to my door from Amazon.

that may work for some. I have noticed that my driver side arm no longer has the spring pressure or has excess corrosion in the joint that hinders of the ability of the arm to apply acquitted pressure to the blade its self. I can lift the the blade off the window an inch and the arm will not go back down on its own.
Im sure that this is causing the some of the wiper blade problems. but just my opinion.

I can see that happening; mine worked fine until I replaced them and then I had the 'missing right in front of my face' problem so I'm guessing the right blade will fix it for me.

In MA, where I am, they test the wipers and sprayers, and if they suck, they can fail you. Granted it takes a real dick to fail you if everything else is fine, but still. I'd simply rather not deal with it.

LOL. Go to Napa and tell them you need specific wiper blades for your car. They will have them. And if the guy behind the computer didn't type the information in wrong, you will get the right wipers that work perfectly. I'm sure any other good auto parts place is the same.
