Quetion about heads and intake Why are 2 sets of heads i have like this.
but i have a intake that matchs..
Then I have a intake that is much more open..
whats the differance? the intakes have diff cast numbers.. heads are all diff

sorry i was a little sleepy when i posted.
yes the heads and one of the intakes has a missalignment, its not a perfect square on any of the ports.
how ever the other intake i have is a perfect square and seems much more open.

The early intakes have a rectangular port, the later ones taper to be a little narrower up top which actually matches unported heads better because the head ports are not completely rectangular and taper to be narrower at the top.
Not rocket science, GM just did not cast things to match perfectly.
