Some clarification about the cc306...
HOWEVER, to be blunt, there are a bunch of ignorant fools who throw this big stick in their car when they should not have any business doing such with the setup they have. This will result in the car driving like a turd and getting your *** stomped by a car that has been built correctly.
Here are SOME things your car & engine should have going for it to make your CC306 decision enjoyable:
loose converter
low rear gear ratios (numerically high)
bumped Static compression
long tube headers
valvetrain stability
stronger rod bolts if you don't want to lessen shortblocks life.
If you don't do this stuff, be smart and run a smaller cam.
And also, how a cam sounds should NOT be a trait you are focusing on. Spec the correct cam and let the sound fall wherever it may end up. If you spec a big cam solely just so it can sound like it's "cammign from hail"; those guys over in the corner of the lot pointing and snickering will be making fun of your slow *** poseur self.
That's all I have to say.......................for now.
