LT1 6speed bolt on to ls1??
Depends. The LT1 input shaft is shorter than the LS1, the LT1 bell is shallower than the LS1 and the LT1 used a "pull" style clutch, with a throwout bearing that rode on what would be the input bearing retainer in a Muncie.
If you want to use the LT1 style clutch and you're REALLY lucky, the LT1 flywheel will bolt up to the LS1 - I don't know if it wll or not. If it does, you can use all the LT1 parts - flywheel, pull style pressure plate, bellhousing and clutch linkage.
If you want to use an LS1 clutch (which I'd recommend), you'll want to use an LS1 bellhousing or SFI equivalent. If it's a 2.66 first gear T56 you can swap input shafts (be sure to shim it correctly) to get a correct length for the LS1 bellhousing. You may still have an issue with the clutch linkage. If you're lucky again, the LS1 style concentric hydraulic throwout bearing may bolt up in place of the LT1 "bearing retainer." If you're not lucky, you'll need to get an aftermarket hydraulic throwout bearing.

First, I'd get an LS1 T56. If that wasn't possible, I'd confirm that the LT1 T56 is a 2.66 first gear transmission. If it is, I'd check to see if the LS1 hydraulic throwout bearing will bolt to the LT1 T56. If it doesn't, I'd look into an aftermarket hydraulic throwout bearing. Once I figured that out, I'd swap input shafts (assuming 2.66 first gear) and use the LS1 bell, flywheel, etc.
