Default sts?

How much WHP would 7 psi on a STS turbo kit make on a LT1?

A GT67 with 42# injectors through an automatic will make 400 rwhp on a 97 LT1 at 7#. And your IATs will be far too high, but you didn't ask about that.
Ask me how I know....

On my old 94 z28 m6. With full bolt ons and lt4 hotcam I made 377/378@5psi
and 400/408@7psi with meth. That was with a sts kit w/ t67 upgraded turbo. Anything over 5psi I would recommend running a intercooler or meth. U will be okay on a stock lt1 engine with 7psi -with meth or intercooler. Just make sure u have the fuel upgrades, good tune and dont run more then 7psi to be on the safe side like I did. Never had any problems with mine

Very cool Detroit. So must of been a blast to drive? I'm just looking for a fun to drive Fbody. Doesn't have to be the fastest thing out there but run solidly.

Yeah it was fun but the part that I did not like was cars with just heads/cam package where keeping up with me - I had 3 times as much invested in this kit then there cars and they were still keeping up with me. Also I would have turbo lag between shifts - m6 I had - automatic should be different and the very last thing is everyone Knew I had a turbo out the back. Not sure if you live in a good area but u will diffently have to keep a close on eye on it more often. But other then that yeah the car will pull very hard you will like just for street fun.

A couple of things to note on the thread, overall:
First, boost is boost. 7 pounds on a Powerdyne has the same horsepower as 7 pounds on an STS.
Second, 400 rwhp is 400 rwhp. If you race a car of equivalent weight and power, you will have an equal outcome.
Third, it is widely known that manuals love a supercharger, autos love a turbo. After I wrapped the exhaust, I have virtually no turbo lag at all. And I moved my turbo up where the only way you can see it is to be below the bumper.
My car was a ton of fun with a completely stock engine and 400 STS rwhp. I really liked the way it ran when not in boost; as smooth as stock, because it was stock.

You could NOT be more wrong.

Boost is pressure, airflow is volume. They are two very different things.

You could run a tiny turbo way out of its map and make xxx psi boost and be doing nothing but flowing hot air into the engine. By the same token you can put a larger more efficient charger on and run it at the bottom of its map where its much more efficient than the smaller charger, and flow more air and make more power, at a lower psi...

What do you think would happen if you were to go from a stock unported head at 7lbs of boost to a fully ported 235cc head and not change anything else.

What would happen to boost with the exact same turbo setup.

What would happen to hp?

Sorry, gregrob, your are taking things WAY out of context. My statement is based on the fact that the installer did his homework and sized each correctly. It is also based on moving from a supercharger to a turbocharger on the exact same engine, all other things being equal.
I don't need lectures on turbos, I work in the industry. Please save such comments for newbies that deserve it.
Back to your regularly scheduled progamming.

I be pissed if I boosted an LT1 and only made 400rwhp. When I do it I expect more like 800-1000rwhp but it would be an all out build and alot more psi

Stock rwhp of an automatic was in the 235-240 range, due to manufacturing differences and inefficiencies of the drivetrain. Percentage-wise, 400 rwhp is a significant increase.
