Belt squeaking like hell but only when cold
But the more miles i drove the more the squealing reduce and finally after maybe 15mins no more noise, everything like normal.
If i let the car cool down and start it back in maybe a couple of hours the damn noise is back for another 15min.
So what can i do to solve this...And by the way already try some new idler and tensionner pulley without succes.Alt is brand new,the ps pump is brand new and the spray stuff didnt work work at all.
I tried the old mechanic tricks by dropping some drop of water directly on the belt and it stop squealing for a couple of seconde(if it stop the belt is the problem,if not the problem is elsewhere)
Thanks

Im running a alt relocation kit(that keep power steering) so im not running a stock belt...Dont have the size for now because i lost it(break) while i was doing some test.I tighten the tensionner to the max to see if the squealing would go away. For this test the strap was so tight i could have played guitar on it soo i dont think that it was too long .
Thanks
I will take some measurement with a straight edge and see if there is some problem of alignement with the pulley tomorrow morning.
I also did some test today.I put a new belt on and the squeal has disapear...but for how long...

Just for the info my belt was only 200 miles old

A friend thinks it might be the power steering or ac condensor. What do you guys think?

For the rest i took some measurment and found that my alternator is .070 inch offset more in front than my crank pulley.
Also my new manual tensionner is .180 inch(near 3/16 inch) offset more in front than my damper crank pulley.
I ll put a shim behind my crank pulley(.070inch) and i ll shave my tensionner by .110inch.
Im happy to have found what was the trouble.
