Default Pics of current Optispark I from thepartsladi

This is sold as Delphi CZ20009, unvented Opti for 92-94 LT1 applications. Thought a look inside might be interesting. The number stamped into the edge of the cast housing is 1104104 9B12. The encoder cover plate had a lot of fingerprints on it, but the wheel was untouched and straight. Can't tell if it was made in Mexico or US. Don't care as long as the wheel is straight/clean and the Mitsubishi encoder works, since I'm ditching the cap and rotor and re-using my 1300 miles MSD 8481 kit (encoder died in my 71k original of heatstroke). Shaft is nice and tight, seal looks good as well. Last one I'll buy before going 24x. I already sealed up the 3 holes on the bottom in prep for the MSD cap.

Looks just like the one I got from her a few years back, except mine was a vented.

Can't wait to pull the bad one apart and see if there's a difference in the encoder (updated part).... Code 36 on a warm car blues...
